Martin Van Laethem

About Me

Hi there!, I’m Martin, and I’m thrilled to have you visit my little corner of the internet. I’m a passionate and bizarre individual with a diverse range of interests and talents, and I hope to share a bit about myself with you.

One of my greatest passions is art, particularly painting. The canvas allows me to recreate the beauty I see in nature, and there is great joy in watching myself slowly improve from piece to piece.  The Paintings on this site are all by me!  When I’m not painting it, I’ll be exploring the great outdoors.  North Vancouver is blessed with many beautiful trails and forests to hike through, and lots of adorable animals to watch.  In particular, I absolutely adore bears!

If there’s one thing that truly lights up my world, however, it’s video games. Whether in the real or digital world, I love exploring beautiful environments and meeting new friends.  Some of my all-time personal favorite games are Hollow Knight, Terraria, and Portal 2, but there are far too many to list.

Academics have also played a vital role in shaping my journey. During high school, I maintained an unwavering commitment to my studies, earning straight A’s and laying the foundation for my future endeavors. I pursued my passion for technology at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), where I spent four enriching years studying diligently. This incredible journey led me to graduate with a Bachelor of Technology and a diploma in computer science, empowering me with the skills and knowledge to take on exciting challenges in the tech world.

Now, as I embark on this new chapter, I’m eager to channel my education, interests, and passion into a rewarding career. I’m on the lookout for opportunities that allow me to utilize my technical expertise and creativity in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Join me as I continue to evolve, learn, and create. Through my website, I hope to inspire and connect with like-minded individuals, share my experiences, and showcase the projects that fuel my curiosity.

Thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to connecting with you!
